The lyrics to this track are based on a dream I reported the morning of 5/24/20 in my dream journal.

“Woke up in my house but it was too clean, like it wasn’t lived in. Started to do all my chores and they felt very monotonous and repetitive and started speeding up so fast it was a blur. Broke free and ran outside, gained a bit of lucidity and tried to fly but was held down by pockets filled with rocks. Noticed a giant portal like thing in the sky and remember looking up at it and saying to myself ‘Primordial soup’ for some reason”

Dust the surfaces put the dirty laundry in
Dump the compost out back behind the shed
Hold the rocks for the balloon you tied to your head

Living ritualistically
Just for the sake of the cycle

Bash the surfaces rip all the clothes off the wire

Take the rocks out your pockets and then float away
Find a new pattern and cling to it tight
Pay attention to when it no longer feels right
Lose the new pattern to find one that’s true
But no matter what don’t you ever lose you

I think I should run away
I can’t make the most of this place
